Brewers Spring Training 2014 - Day 4 |
My plan all along was to spend the last few days in Las Vegas because I can't stay away from that Godforsaken town. So this would be my last night down in Phoenix. Aunt Linda wanted to take us all out for dinner and to my surprise, my cousin Troy came with us! He does leave his room! I knew it was possible. We were going to this place called Pinnacle Peak Patio Steakhouse & Microbrewery. It seemed like it was pretty far away but I didn't care because I was still a little drunk and it was a scenic drive up into the mountains. |
There are thousands of neckties hanging from the ceiling in every area of this bar. It was ridiculous. But apparently that is their thing. If a Gentleman would enter wearing a necktie, they would snip it and hang it from the ceiling. It's not that kind of restaurant pal. My Aunt told me my Grandpa has one up there somewhere, but she can't remember where. I'm sure I know what it looks like... Jack the Dog was happy to see us return. And why not? We're the best part of his life! But I told him to settle down. I'm not part of your life. I'm going away tomorrow. |
I'm sure this place is all done up like this to please the tourists seeking a Wild West dining experience, but they sure reeled me right in. I'm a sucker for traps like this. It was all done up to look like an Old West town and I was getting a good vibe that I was about to have me and good ol' fashioned delicious dinner. And if I didn't, well then they bamboozled me big time. Those cheating cowboys. |
They had a live rattlesnake and I know that slithering bastard wanted to bite me. I'm sure he was just trying to provide me the authentic Wild West experience. I don't think I can handle that, so it was a good thing that serpent was locked up in a glass cage. |
The Pinnacle Peak brews their own beer and I was more than eager to try one. I had a Prescott Liquid Amber Ale. It was nice, very smooth and flavored, with a caramel finish with just a little hops. Plus it had my name in the title, so that made it 10x better. |
