Brewers Spring Training 2014 - Vegas Day 1

I needed some help to wash away the good thoughts and moral values, so I stopped at Lee's Liquor for some bad judgment juice. For the next 2 days I would be filled with whiskey, rum and the irreprehensible will to cause complete anarchy and chaos.

I didn't stay in the pool too long. It was my first day here. There's no sense in getting yelled at right away. Besides, once the sun goes down in the desert the temperature goes down with it. I will swim any time, any where and in any temperature, but it was time to get out and get dirty in this messy town. What would the night have in store? Who knows, but it won't end well. My history in this town points to that happening again.

I could see the City of Sin laid out before me like a human waste land. So many lies, broken promises and beat down people lay before me in this desolate oasis. Soon I would be counted among their numbers. I may leave for a bit but I will always return.

Before I got my drink and my sin on, it was time to get my grub on. If you've been following me on this site in my adventures out West, then you certainly know that I look forward to a trip to In-N-Out Burger. I can't explain why I love it so much, but for my money this is one of the best restaurants in the whole wide World. This place has some kind of magical hold on me and won't let go.

It could be the Double-Double. It could be the Animal Fries. It could be that I have been waiting almost an entire calendar year for this gooey goodness. It could be that every time I'm at an In-N-Out Burger I'm on vacation. I could be all of those combined. It could also be none of the above. Look, I don't know what it is, but I know that I was hungry for it then and I'm ever hungrier for it now. I can't wait to get back there.

I work for Mark Travel, a leisure travel company. I got 20% off hotels that we offer, and I chose The Plaza Hotel in Downtown Las Vegas. It was one of the cheapest options, which was what I was looking for as a place to lay my head. I also wanted to stay downtown because I like it better there. Plus I had stayed on the Strip many times (at the Flamingo) for the World Series of Beer Pong. Even though this place didn't cost much, it was really nice. The room was huge and it overlooked the pool. Yea! I can creepily ogle people!

I was in my room long enough to mix a drink because it was getting late. I checked in around 630pm but I still went in the pool even though it said that it closed at 5pm. There was a family out there swimming so I figured we had safety in numbers. I needed to cool off after the ride through the hot desert. If they came out to yell at me I was fully prepared to play the "I didn't know I couldn't do that" card.
