Afterglow 2016 - Day 7 Friday

Even though we like to play it a little soft on the last day (as some of us needed to be cohesive enough to drive back home tomorrow morning), I drove into town to grab some more whiskey. With it being before noon, there was still plenty of time to day drink and sober up by the nighttime hours to still be not hungover tomorrow and drive home safely. I've been playing this Afterglow game for a long time now. So trust me when I say I know the rules, know how to "cheat" within the limitations of the system and come out a winner in the end.

When we arrive up here on Saturday afternoon we often joke about that as being "our last day at Afterglow" as a way to stimulate ourselves to live each day to the fullest up here. While that may work on that day, there does come a time at the end of the week when it is for serious our last day at Afterglow. That would be today - Friday July 29th. I awoke with vigor and went down to our dock to soak in the majestic surroundings that is God's gift to us during this week of paradise. I wanted nothing else. Luckily I got everything I wanted.

While I was gone, Mom went out to Memory Point to visit Timmy and spend some much needed time in thought and reflection. Or at least I think that's what she did out there. Look. I don't know what happened. I wasn't there. So I'm just doing my best based on these pictures.
