Afterglow 2016 - Day 6 Thursday |
I don't know if you can tell from the dreariness of the lighting in these pictures, but it wasn't exactly a beach day. The clouds in the sky were plentiful, but that didn't stop the kids from going in the water and the adults from laying out on the beach. A non beach day at Afterglow is still better than a beautiful day back home, so we might as well take advantage of what little time we had in this place. |
Kevin was playing guitar down on the dock outside of our cabin and Mom snuck some pictures of him from a distance like the scum and villainy they call paparazzi. I thought that the small town of Phelps would be exempt from the so called photojournalists with their intrusive zoom lenses trying to make a quick buck by exposing people in their natural state. They should be ashamed of themselves. Who does something like that? |
Here's a couple of pictures of Stacy & Pinkman (Jessey) because I like those kids. And chances are (if you are reading this) that you like them too. There's even a pretty good chance that you are Stacy or Pinkman and you are reading this. If that actually happens then I'll be one happy camper because that means I still have an audience and I haven't lost them all by my nonsense and tardiness. |
Even though it was not a beach day, it was still a good day to spend on the high seas. Since we didn't have the ability to venture out into International Waters where we could be free of any nation's jurisdiction, kayaking and paddle boarding on the waters of Lake Afterglow would have to do. I say that like it's a bad thing, but as you can see by the pictures below, these kids were having a lot of fun with it. Almost too much fun if you ask me. Is that even possible? How much fun is too much? I don't want to live in a World where I know the answer. |
I love my family. How could I not? I know these are just pictures and not the real thing, but they perfectly convey all of the reasons why these goofballs are my favorite people in the entire World. That's what makes Afterglow the best week of the entire year; I get to spend all day, every day with the greatest people in the entire World. That's why this place is paradise. But it wouldn't be it if they weren't here. |
