Afterglow 2016 - Day 6 Thursday

Eventually Jenny woke up. Kevin came over from across the street and we went disc golfing. They had (I think?) 9 baskets set up, so you could play one way and turn around and play it again in a fair amount of time. But time really meant nothing as we threw the discs into the air towards the cage, took a sip of beer, walked to our disc on the ground, threw it towards the cage, took another sip of beer, and repeated until the disc was in the basket. It's a tough and challenging life; that's for sure. But it is a life worth living. And while I'm still able to traverse over plains of green, I'll keep doing it because that is what I was put on this Earth to do. We all need a purpose.

Now that we worked up a sweat drinking beer and disc golfing (sure - everyone reading this truly believes that), we decided that a swim would be the cure to our ails. Who would've thought that a dance party would break out? Everyone should have. That kind of thing just seems to happen to us more often than not, so next time you see us all together, place your bets on yes. But I bet (what's with all the gambling?) that you didn't think we'd dance to Baltimora's "Tarzan Boy" did you? Oh you did? Why would you think that AND be right? That's just ridiculous. And people say that we have problems. Oh we do. There's no denying that. It's just that I didn't know you did too.
My body clock wakes me up around 7 or 730 am (which is what time I need to be up to make it into work on time the other 51 weeks of the year) but I usually try fight it. When I can't do it any longer, I go outside to get my day going. There isn't a whole lot of activity, so I tend to make breakfast around 1030am but since I know that I won't really do anything for another hour or so, I make a lunch type meal. Today that was super mac shapes, which I decided to roll into a soft tortilla shell. Why? Because I was on vacation god damn it. That's why.

Morning is my time to be me and do my thing. At Afterglow this usually means listening to an audiobook or a podcast. Since most people are recovering from the night before or simply enjoying their morning in paradise, I get a chance to do the same thing. While I could lay in bed for hours thanks to the damage this place causes my body, I do like to get out and soak it all in. And I'm always glad that I did.

I brought enough coozies to fit a six-pack of Rhinelander Shorties. Normally that may be a problem, but up here at Afterglow it was the solution. I'm not sure that it makes sense, but I'm not here to figure these things out on my own without Adult supervision.
