Afterglow 2012 - Day 6 Thursday

History would not be repeating itself and Mom and I emerged victorious over these young collegiates. They put up a very good fight but there would be no stopping us this time. We were on a mission to prove that roommates can achieve great things.

I don't know how many teams signed up for the Horseshoe Tournament but I do remember that some teams had to forfeit. The bad weather forced some people away from the resort so they weren't able to play their games. So without playing a game Mom and I found ourselves in the semi-finals against Stacy and Tommy, who had won the Championship in 2011 and 2010 when they beat us in the final game. They had some payback coming and they both possess great athletic skill they couldn't win a match against destiny.

I've been in the position of spectator many times before and it often is difficult to chose a team to root for because it is family playing against family. Brian and Gary were in a tough spot because they had to play the winners of this game for the title.
