Afterglow 2012 - Day 5 Wednesday

There always has to be one crappy day at Afterglow. I wish that all 7 days could be perfect but let's face it- wishes don't come true. You just instead hope that there is only one bad day and the rest are spectacular. But today was a bad weather day. If it rains (like it was this morning) that means you just have to figure out something to do inside. That's a lot harder than it sounds like up here.

The lodge is a good central meeting place that has enough space to house all of the rage that we usually bring along with us. They also have WiFi internet there and although I try and stay away from it while on vacation, I figured today was a good one to catch up on Brewers news. They were on a 5 game losing streak and were in the middle of that 3 game series at Philadelphia where the bullpen coughed up all 3 games which led to Zack Greinke being traded. Thankfully I wasn't watching those heartbreaking losses. Instead I was watching my cousins try to entertain themselves during this bummer of a day. They didn't have any trouble doing that.

When it rains in the morning like it did today, people tend to sleep in and stay in the cabins longer than usual. I was bored hanging out by myself in the rain so I walked down to Cabin #5 to see what Brian and Stacy were up to. I found Brian in an intense discussion with Uncle Greg about God knows what. I'm sure it was pretty ridiculous (as it often is) but like most of my life, I forgot what it was about.

Afterglow is such an outdoorsy place that staying inside isn't an option, even if it is raining. I put on my swim suit and took off my shirt and ventured off into the wilderness. Aside from the lack of sun and cousins to join me in my fun, how was this any different than the other days this week? I wasn't going to let a little bit of rain wash away my fun so I went out in the elements to rage.
