Afterglow 2012 - Day 3 Monday

Now I think I have a pretty good idea as to why I stayed on the shore and didn't accompany my cousins into the water. Just look at me - I look like hell. And in one of the pictures I'm not even awake. One of the requirements for swimming is that you be conscious or else you're just out there doing the dead man's float. Except you are actually dead. That doesn't sound like a whole lot of fun. I'll stay on shore for now.

I'm not sure if these pictures were from that night but I'm going to put them here because I feel like it. At first I was cautious because I thought, who took these pictures? They must have been stationed below in some kind of water craft or something. I'm guessing they were from Mark's camera but I'm guessing they were from another day. But when you have at least 5 people's pictures to sort through without date stamps on them, eventually you just say screw it and put it where you want it. There has to be a sexual joke there.

Eventually Tommy finally found his way back to the HD. There are some things you just cannot avoid. But he still stayed on the opposite side of where the LP love was happening. No man wants to get in the middle of that sandwich. At least not on purpose.

Stacy made it a point to keep her distance from Brian + Kevin because she valued her safety. They would never intentionally harm her (in fact they would lay down their own lives to protect her) but she knows not to get in the middle of the rage.

Tommy decided to stay clear from the fracas that was taking place on the HD. He sought solace on the log, which is a very good idea at this time of day. There aren't many better places.

Afterglow is a great place for sitting around doing nothing with the people you love. But the greatest part about it is that you can be topless while doing it. But it's not gay because we're family.

It's weird how you sometimes spend your free time at Afterglow watching other people spend their free time. It doesn't make sense but Mom and Beege decided to do that this evening.

There is some real nonsense going on whenever these two get together. It's best to not interfere and try to break it up. Sometimes you just have to let the Revolution run its' course.

Brian and Kevin found comfort in the arms of each other, which is why they are a perfect match for life partners. I don't pretend to understand it. I just go with it. I suggest you do the same.

Stacy and Tommy found comfort in the shallow end of the lake that was roped off from the dangers of the deep. It was here that they felt protected from all forces Mother Nature could muster.

Every so often they come out with lists of the most beautiful places on the planet and Afterglow isn't on any one of them. And I'm just fine with that. I don't need everyone else sharing in the best kept secret as to where the true paradise is in this world. This place has to stay exclusive for it would be ruined if the general public swarmed here en masse.
