Afterglow 2014 - Day 7 Friday

Uncle Rick has to be on the wrong side of 50 now, but that doesn't stop him from raging like a young one. For as long as I can remember, he takes at least one dive off of the HD each year. I commend him for that. He gets some mad respect from me. I don't think that I have dove off of the HD since I was about 16 years old. For me that is over 1/2 of my life ago. I can't even imagine giving this giant feat a go around these days. God bless you Uncle Rick. You majestic beast.

Stacy risked life and limb to bring her camera out to the HD once again, so it is my esteemed privilege to present these pictures to you today. So while you are soaking in all of this man flesh, just remember that these pictures would not have been possible without her sacrifice. Come to think about it, I'm actually a little upset that she did that. No one needs to see that much skin up close. We are each sexy in our own ways, but the World doesn't need to break off a piece of that. The World isn't ready for this revolutionary awakening.
Greg, Sandy, Brian and Stacy took time out of their busy week to take a family picture. I'm surprised that Blondebeard was able to stop destroying things long enough to pose for a picture. Is there anything that beautiful mess of a man can't do? I hope not.

Brandon started picking some berries for the long ride home. I can attest that a man often gets hungry on the ride home. But why eat berries when you can have some of THAT MEAT?!?! On the day when I am writing this, I don't recall what food was left in the cabin. But I know from experience, there is always plenty of food that needs to be consumed lest it be thrown into the trash for the scavenging raccoons. Brandon could have taken it with him? Why are you scrounging for berries pal?!? It makes no sense.

We followed up a swim in the BP with a dip in the HT. This is customary. Not doing so would be like skipping from 1 to 3 without 2 or not stepping on 2nd base on the way to a triple. There are some things you just have to do because they come in sequential order. We raged like a gathering of banshees. When we were done, we almost closed the cover with Brian inside. What a gift and burden that would have been. A gift in the short term, a burden for the long term. Who would want to be saddled with that?

While this was everyone's last night at Afterglow, Jenny and Brandon would be cutting theirs short. They had a wedding to go to in Central Illinois tomorrow, so it made sense for them to head back to Milwaukee tonight. So they stuck it out as long as they could and then they prepared to kiss this beautiful place goodbye until next year. You know what that means - pictures with... Kevin? Well, why not? After all, he is family. I know that that Ohana means family, but I'll argue that Afterglow means family too.

Brandon + Jenny know Juniper well. They met each other through June's mother Avery, and they are all still good friends to this day. June's Grandma is Aunt Rose, so she gets to come up here and share the week with us. Confused? I sure as hell am.
