Afterglow 2014 - Day 3 Monday

If you like guys covering their nipples, then you have come to the right place. And if you truly like that, I beg you to seek help. That having been said, check out this picture of Kevin and Tommy giving those weirdos a free show. That makes me an enabler.

Brandon and Kevin brought their Saturday Shirts (also known as Rage Wear, Hawaiian Shirts or Party Gear) up to Afterglow and Susie brought them the perfect accessory at the town craft fair - dickeys. If you aren't familiar with a dickey here is what it is: an article of clothing made to look like the front or collar of a shirt, blouse, vest, etc., worn as a separate piece under another garment or jacket. Basically it looks like you are wearing a turtleneck without the burden of extra layers. It's genius and stylish.

Being sad takes a lot out of you. That's why I try to do it as little as possible. But you just can't help it after visiting Memory Point so we went back to Cabin #2 to refuel and prepare for the rage ahead of us. Look at these kids getting all up in these snacks.

I'm pretty sure that Afterglow 2014 was the first time Brandon met Beege. We've been calling him "Backdoor" Beege for years, but Brandon immediately graduated him to "Frontdoor" Beege. This pleased everyone and made this Afterglow a good time.

With the whole day ahead of us we realized that even though we had time to fulfill our end of the pact and swim, it was best to get it out of the way early. So we dressed for the water and traveled down to the swimming area for another dip in the big pool.

As you can tell by the lack of people on the beach and lack of sun in the sky, today was not an ideal beach day. While that may bother the "normal" person, that will never stop us. But Brian and Stacy were still a little timid to fully immerse in the water.

Scott and Mitchell Moline (Pete + Gail's offspring) are both athletes in winter games. Because of that, they need to keep up their conditioning in the summer months when there is no snow. In some way, this rope line allows them to do that. I think it has something to do with balance (I wouldn't know because I'm drunk all the time and balance goes out the window with my luggage). Brandon and Kevin wanted to try it out and failed miserably, barely even managing to take 2 steps on the line. I appreciate the effort (and got a great deal of enjoyment from watching them fail), but leave the balancing act to the professionals. I say that with all due respect of course. Lord knows I couldn't even get up on that thing to begin with. That takes talent. Talent I don't have.

If I didn't already mention it, let me announce that 2014 showed a return of the Sombrero to Afterglow. BK3 was excited to be back in paradise so he picked up a dozen or so of these beasts from the dollar store. So we rocked them all week long.
