Everyone that was in attendance that night was treated to June's Blanket's 3rd, and in my opinion, best show. I certainly was excited right before show time, and once again, Susie was there for support (and to also record the very song you are hearing.)

If you give the page a minute to load (depending on your internet connection) you will hear John Jacob Jingle Heimer Schmidt performed by June's Blanket off of their first CD "Live at the Afterglow Campfire." The song features Tim on guitar, and my best harmonica playing thus far.

Our set list was a follows - June's Blanket Hoedown, Friend, Mary Jane's Last Dance, JJHS, and June's Blanket. That was the best set we've done, and the crowd certainly enjoyed every minute of it.

All three of the shows we've done opened with June's blanket Hoedown, which features a great deal of laughter and audience participation. Aunt Carol and Aunt Rose definitely got their money's worth out of our performance. Thanks goes out to Gary for laughing during the "Billy Bob + Hank" and the "robbing banks" portions of the song. That really made the night worthwhile.

We created this song not only for laughs, but to feature me on harmonica for the first time. This song began a musical journey in my life that now includes June's Blanket, and opened the door for new possibilities.

This is during the "they drew out their guns" portion of the Hoedown song. Tim and I stare each other down as Tim plays that Old West song that plays when cowboys have a showdown with six-shooters at high noon.

This was taken during our cover of Tom Petty's "Mary Jane's Last Dance." In this picture I'm rocking on the harmonica, Tim's backing me up, Susie's filming it, and my Mom is rocking right along with us. We couldn't have released the CD without the contributions of these individuals. June's Blanket thanks you. Everyone at the campfire enjoyed our performance, and we were asked to play another night, but I declined. Tim played a solo set on a later night, and did a wonderful job.
