Afterglow 2003 - Day 7 (page 30)
The beach is quiet. Yes, a little too quiet. This would be the end of swimming for this year, and the beach has never looked emptier. The lake has never been so serene as in the moment when all of the inhabitants have left it's shore. She can once again recuperate and prepare for next week's incoming visitors.
And the time came again for family pictures. It's the one thing that no matter what you do, you cannot escape it. You can run as fast as the wind blows, or don camouflage and hide amongst the shrubbery, but family picture time will be on your heels for the rest of your travels. That having been said, the Kurutz families made quite a lovely bunch on the end of the pier. On the left, we have Rick, Maria, Susie, and Tommy. And on the right, Greg, Sandy, Brian, Stacy, and Signa. What would this place be like without the family?
The "real" adults (I don't count myself and James as one of them, for we still goof around with the "kids") decided that they needed a picture of their own. I happily took it, as I was glad to once not be the focal point of attention.
And finally, my family stakes its claim for the 'best looking Afterglow family of the year' award. What would have been a great picture of us is ruined by Timmy's Ghostbusters 2 shirt. We all look so nice except for him. (That's the adult in me speaking, the kid in me thinks that it kicks ass.)
