Afterglow 2003 - Day 7 (page 28)
Rick snapped back into his childhood in a moment that confused the masses. He suddenly realized his purpose in life, and wouldn't stop building. He was last seen looking puzzled and muttering "this means something..."
They say that the eyes of a child are innocent and pure, but I propose a different alternative - you'd know exactly what I am thinking when you look into the eyes of this dog.
Tommy was lost alone in the great wilderness that they call Afterglow Lake. His variation on the sidestroke allowed him to stay afloat, and ultimately, continue his life in this great big world.
I asked Mark to prove himself to be a championship swimmer, and his response was the doggy paddle. Seems that I'm not the only one around here with a sense of humor...
Rick was inspired by our actions the day before (when Gary, Kevin, Tim, and I entered the sandcastle contest) and he set about to continue the tradition of building. Dave started this voyage back into childhood with a simple design, which Rick then elaborated on. It sure was funny to see these two play in the sand like children...
In the window of the rec room, there was a spider web crack that resembled the impact of a bullet in glass, so we called it the Afterglow Bullet Hole. Why someone is discharging weapons of this magnitude within the confines of a populated societal construct is beyond me. I think the real question should be about Timmy's actions during the taking of these photographs. What happened to this kid? He used to be normal. Now he's just, well...weird. But that's alright though, because who do you think he gets it from? (Hint: you don't have to look that far)
