The kids wiggled and screamed and did everything that they could in order to avoid the lakeweed that crept up from the trenches of the lake. But the more the moved, the more it grasped for their terrainial appendages. They attempted to paddle to shore, but it proved to be moot.
Now that this debacle was over, the lake could now rest. No more over-excitement for this Northern wonder. A calm breeze flew across the surface, returning it to a most tranquil state.
The gathered crowd marveled at this display, and mocked those involved for having less courage than that Cowardly Lion fellow (remember when the Wizard yelled at him an he dove out the window? That and the Wicked Witch of the West riding her motorcycle were my two favorite parts of the Wizard of Oz.) Anyway, Matt played the dashing hero and finally stepped in and rescued those damsels in distress.
Burt stands in dismay, wondering how the world has deteriorated so much that people would find humor in the follies of others. But I think that I saw Burt snicker quietly to himself...
