We decided at the last minute to join the sandcastle contest. We figured that there was no way that we could loose, and those 5-year-olds wouldn't stand a chance to the intelligence and life experiences that Tim, Gary, Kevin, and I possess. We set off to create the best sandcastle that the world had ever see. I held the shovel that I used to dig a hole that would eventually be used for nothing. What can I say, I like to dig.

We came up with this really odd ridiculous idea, but what else would you expect out of us? It involved a volcano, and the sun overheating, and Neil Diamond (the Ken doll on the rocket) going to blow it up, and mutant crabs attacking St. Louis (because of the orange arch), and Uncle Dan (the blue guy in the boat) going out fishing. Yeah, that and a few other things that we came up with along the way while telling the story.

I don't know why a half-naked Ken doll was on the beach, and I can't even begin to understand why we let him portray Neil Diamond (considering that Neil looks nothing like this guy, even though he is one of our century's greatest entertainer).

Jenny once again took all of the pictures that you see on this page, choosing to stake herself in the history of this site. She also took the time to video tape the 4 of us playing in the sand and coming up with the most bizarre sandcastle to ever grace a beach.

It's hard to believe that these guys are brothers. Scott and Tim couldn't be any more different than each other. We put our creative minds together and created the most messed up thing since the Beatles' Yellow Submarine. Have you ever seen that movie? Total mind bender man. Every time I watch that movie I feel like I just spent the last couple of hours in the company of a Hookah-smoking caterpillar, and ate mushrooms and grew to weird proportions.

It's hard to believe that these guys are brothers. Kevin and Gary couldn't be any more different than each other. Jenny decided to take a close-up picture of each one of us on the sandcastle team so we could later look at them and try and rationalize the expressions on their faces and understand what they are thinking.
