You can take this kid away from his basement, but you can't get him away from his recording studio. New ideas fly through his head at an incredible rate, and he's got to get them down before he looses him. He has his 3rd CD out, and he's already working on the 4th, while on vacation I might add.

It came time for Mom and I to play horseshoes, only the people we were supposed to play against were nowhere to be found. They were bumped to the next round and we played against Gail and that Eric kid. Advantage? Kris + Scott.

Gail didn't want me to take her picture while she was throwing, but I told her that it was standard practice. All that plays against me in horseshoes gets the distinct honor of a mention on this here website, so she agreed.

That Eric kid was her partner, and played a decent game, but they were no match for the outstanding power and advanced placement of Team Mom + Me.

Once again, (from the left) Rose, Carol, and Grandma (Gary's grandma that is) came out to cheer us on. This trio of lovely ladies were present for every game, and pookon.com would like to present them with the 2003 Afterglow Extreme Fans of the Horseshoe Game Award.

There he is, Mr. Horse shoe Man. With the quickness I ensured a victory for my team, but look up and realize that I couldn't have done it without someone - my Mom. Oh yeah, and God too.

Who better to celebrate a victory with than Mr. Afterglow himself - Burt Moline. The world-renowned officiator of every Afterglow event was on hand to determine whether or not it was a horseshoe length away, and to see who was closer to the pin. Burt and me are a good pair, and if I could drag him away from the paradise he built (interested on how Burt built this place? Check out the history of Afterglow here), we would go on tour together and sign autographs.
