Afterglow 2003- Day 4 (page 10)
I had just a little but to drink the night before, so waking up early for the biker's breakfast was a difficult challenge. I was up to it though, as I crawled out of bed and onto the shores of Lac Veux Desert, where those Sunrise Lodge guys put up that breakfast in the woods thing. Now don't get me wrong, I love breakfast, and I certainly love eggs and sausage, but $7.00 for that was out of the question. Good thing that I didn't pay (thanks Mom!), and we enjoyed breakfast anyway.
Kevin digs into his eggs like any hungry boy his age would, but he got his picture taken cause he just happened to be sitting across the table from me.
Like Father, like Son. Dale and Dale Jr., I mean Gary, ate enough for a small village, then went back for seconds. Seems no one but me complained that morning.
The early morning doesn't leave you time enough to care about someone taking a picture of you with your mouth full. I don't think Gary minds at any part of the day, as long as he's well fed.
It's a mighty good thing that James didn't look to his left while eating, for Tim would've freaked him out much as he scares me today. But if you ask Tim, he'll tell you that he's hot with long hair.
There's a side of people that you only get to catch in the morning, and this frightening picture of Kevin is the proof behind that statement.
Every year, there's the obligatory "let's take a picture in front of the sign after breakfast" picture, so there was no escaping. Didn't really bother me, cause I didn't mind resting on the ground.
