Afterglow 2004 - Day 2
After bailing from the kayaks, we had to somehow drag them back to the dock. Tim attempted to row the submerged vessel back to shore, and eventually succeeded. There's nothing that he won't try.
No matter what we do, Susie is always a good sport and always comes along for the ride. We were goofing around in the water and she gladly watched from the shallow end.
Monday night at Afterglow means the pot luck dinner. Thanksgiving aside, it is the most wonderful eating day of my entire year. The plates are filled with small portions of every item on the table (you just have to try everything, then go back for seconds on the items that you liked that are still left.) Oh my my, it is simply marvelous.
It is funny to watch people eat. Most people don't know they are being watched so they mercilessly shove their faces with food, unbeknownst that some creepy person like me is staring and taking pictures. Weird man.
T his is one of the few places that I sit at the kid's table and do not put up a big fuss about it. I just face the fact that the Afterglow kid's table rocks.
Then there is always the "we just ate a whole bunch of food and we didn't wait 30 minutes" swim. It's great for concerned Moms like mine.
