Afterglow 2004 - Day 1
Jenny and I goofed around a little bit on guitar learning some new songs. Tommy was unimpressed with our performance. I didn't think that I had to remind him of the learning process and that it takes time to be good.
I get a wild look in my eye and Brian gets a blue look on his arm. There is no reason for my expression, but Brian's cast was the result of a broken wrist suffered during football practice when a couple of guys waaay bigger than him leveled him during some drills the week before vacation. Poor guy, but he made the best of it, much as he always does.
The June's Blanket Float the Boat Tour was an overwhelming success, and every fan in attendance (Susie) enjoyed every second of it. Actually, we even had a couple of people watching and listening from the piers (like Pete, Mark, Steffani and Stacy) so that was pretty cool. Overall, the Float the Boat Tour went well, and we were ready for Monday night's Rock the Dock Tour at the potluck dinner.
At the end of the night, we went back to the cabin for a little bit of silliness and a little bit of music playing, courtesy of Tim and his guitar. Virtually everyone from the resort was there (it seemed like that, but it was mostly all of the kids, or at least the ones that we hang out with) and they were all treated like family (because over half of them were.) Mark smiled and waved while James just passed out on the couch cushions. All was well in cabin #2...
