Afterglow 2004 - Day 5
James signals a thumbs up as a sound reminder that his team was in fact united as one. Their reward, though meaningless in the realm of competitive sports, is a reminder that these guys are still on top of their game.
After the video/awards presentation, the Rec room was calling our names. Outdoor sports took a back seat when Matt (pictured) grabbed a paddle and challenged Gary to a good old fashioned game of table tennis.
Gary was more than happy to accept the challenge, and proved to the world that he could succeed both on and off of the ping pong table. Here, he is seen showing off his poses that he worked on in the off season.
Yesterday I beat Kevin with a behind the back shot, so Kevin challenged me to an entire game of pool shooting exclusively behind the back. Needless to say, the game took forever until completion.
It was an intense game for a little while (I magically kept making shots, you can see that in the video on the next page) but for the most part, it was a game of luck. None of it was really that pretty, but it was a good time killer until we were ready to go gamblin'. That's right, tonight we were on our way to the Indian Casino in Watersmeet, Michigan, where we go every year and previously, where I've won some good money.
