Afterglow 2004 - Day 3
Imagine waking up every morning and the first thing that you see in the mirror is this. I know. Trust me, I was there, so I understand what it feels like to look at a picture like this. Must have scared the socks off of you.
We amassed in the morning to watch our friends and family compete against each other in the most competitive game know to man - tennis. The kids (Beege, Kevin and Brian) were too excited to let their intentions show.
Gary and Dale got the day started with a winner take all Father vs. Son match. Pride and car privileges were on the line, so each played until they collapsed in exhaustion. It was a rowdy way to start out Tuesday (Day 3.)
Judging by Gary's thumbs-up, one would assume that Gary emerged the victor of the match. But in the mixed up world of Afterglow sports, anything can happen.
It truly was an epic battle, one which I have never seen before. I couldn't decide who to cheer for - a friend or an idol. So I cheered for both. So I didn't know who won.
Dale and Gary sat down to allow another Father vs. Son match to take place. My cousin Tommy played against his Dad Rick in a game that quieted the audience. Maybe it was because they were stunned over the sheer power of these two individuals, or because they were in awe over their might. But I think it could have been because we all left to go into town to buy fireworks. Oh yeah!
