From these two actions shots, it isn't hard to distinguish between Tim and James, which one is an athlete and which one is a musician. When it comes to keeping time and playing sick guitar riffs, Tim is hands down the winner. When it comes to physical competition, James cannot be beaten. I guess when it comes to retelling events through stories and pictures, I have the edge on both of them with my website work.

When we go out to the raft, we often find ourselves hanging out on the high board level for long periods of time. I really don't know why we do it. Most of us have jumped off of it an easy 1,000 if not 2,000 times in our lives, so we definitely aren't scared of the height. And although the water is often cold, the majority of us have either gotten used to the water or have enough meat on our bones to prevent the coldness from becoming a factor. My best guess for us hanging out on top of the high dive is because it's like our exclusive clubhouse at Afterglow. Now too many people make it up there, so when we are up there, we own the raft. It's the other place besides cabin #2 that we call home at Afterglow.

Faith was a little afraid of jumping of off the low dive, which is understandable because she is only 6 years old. When I was 6, I couldn't even read. I was a little slow as a kid. I am only kidding as about the reading thing, because the only problem I had as a youth was staying off of the red light in 2nd grade. To up Faith's confidence, her Mom Janelle showed her how easy it was to jump off of an elevated surface into the water and the waiting arms of her loving family that was treading in the water. It took some guts, but Faith eventually jumped.

The kids took turns climbing up the ladder and jumping off of the high dive. I should've been out there with them showing them how it was done, but then I couldn't have been on the beach taking these pictures. It's been my belief for a long time now that I look better and serve a better purpose when I am behind the camera instead of in front of it. I guess it means that you see a whole lot less of me, but after all, isn't a little bit less actually turn out to be a little bit more? I like having these pictures, so I'll do my best to keep out of sight.
