Afterglow 2006 - Day 5 |
If there's one thing that I have learned over the past 5 + years of this website is that I really don't remember what happened in my life. These pictures are a nice reminder and a helpful memory jogger, but I forget all of the little things that happen on a daily basis. I even forget things that happen during vacations and trips when I do take the time to either take pictures or carry a journal of events. Today was one of those days when either nothing at all happened or I simply forgot if anything happened at all. It might be because I started out the day with a cool and refreshing can of Pabst Blue Ribbon and kept on going from there. It might also be because I am on vacation and even my mind takes the time for a little rest and relaxation. Whatever the case may be, prepare yourself for one of the most brief and uneventful installments of Afterglow 2006. |
For whatever reason, today I would hang out exclusively with the younger generation of Afterglowites - Brian, Tommy and Kevin. From the looks of the pictures on this page and the next, there wasn't much going on because we spent half of the day in the rec room playing ping pong, and the other half in the lake swimming. It's weird what happens when kids are bored; sometimes they might even get delirious and start to do bizarre things. Brian (left picture) tried to eat his own arm, while Tommy (right picture) makes a face that no word in the human language is suitable to describe. The look on his face pretty much sums up today's events. |
Brian and Tommy are fantastic ping pong players; it is a skill that they have inherited from their dads. Unfortunately for Kevin and I, our dads were not good at ping pong and we had to learn the skill on our own. It's extremely hard to learn when you're playing against the best, because there is absolutely no room for error. Needless to say, Kevin and I were embarrassed by Brian and Tommy on that day. |
