Docks are used for launching boats but did you also know that they are also used for launching people? Despite the fact that the lake reaches almost all the way to our cabins, we usually walk down to the beach to go swimming. Once a year we try to jump off the dock and swim to the raft but seldom do we use this point as an entry to the lake. I don't know why. There's fish and lakeweed everywhere so that's not a problem. Maybe we're just used to swimming within the designated area.
