Afterglow 2011 - Day 3 Monday

Although I hinted that I had the authority to kick the cousins out of the area in and around Cabin #2 I don't, and I wouldn't do it even if I could. That's because I love these little ragamuffins way too much to do something as heartless as that. But I will put them in time out.

I'll keep mentioning the fact that once I again I failed to go out in a boat this year in an attempt to sink it into my memory to not forget in 2012. So here is Stacy and Tommy doing something that for whatever reason I'm not able to do. You better remind me to go next year.

It's almost as if the trees are on fire because they are so bright. But it's a good thing that they aren't because this heaven would quickly turn into hell. But let's not think about that. Let's instead focus on the love these two people have for each other. Say it with me - awwwww.

James may have met the woman of his dreams and spirited away to South Carolina, but he still takes time to be with the #1 woman in his life for the first 27 years of his life. To avoid getting into trouble I'm just gonna go ahead and say that Mom + Melissa are tied for 1st.

I don't know why I have a picture of James by himself. Then again I don't know a whole lot of things. I don't know why Jenny keeps saying that my looks have become a problem. But I do know that in the evening the tree line makes a great backdrop for pictures.

I didn't know that the fishing was real good here. I thought Uncle Dan just did it to get away by himself for some peace and quiet. But after watching Rez snag a fish and now seeing James and Dennis out on the lake has got me wondering. Can this lake really provide food?

If you do a Google search for the top 10 beautiful places in the World and check out some of the results you sadly won't find Afterglow Lake on any of the lists. But that's only because not too many people know about this place. You will find a multitude of places all around the world that cater to the rich and adventurous. But you won't find a place like this. The rest of the world can have their Great Barrier Reef and Machu Picchu but I've got Afterglow Lake Resort. And I wouldn't trade it for any of those places. Not even for Bora Bora in the French Polynesia.

I can't ask Stacy to leave even if I wanted to. She has a lifetime free pass that exonerates her from future wrongdoings. That's because she's the new Pookon.com historian. Tough luck for everyone else.

Once again we were all back outside of Cabin #2 doing who knows what. The challenge with doing this website is always finding something to say about these pictures. I'll admit defeat on this one.
