The last day isn't too much of a day, it's mostly a few hours between the time when we wake up to the time that we leave. In those few hours we have to pack up everything in the cabin, load up the car, and say goodbye to all of our friends. That's a lot to do in a 3 hour window. It leaves little time for goofing around, but we did still find time to do so. On the right, I grab one last picture (albeit by surprise) of Uncle Dan and Aunt Rose as they were about to pull away. Kevin grabs a picture of himself and Jenny, preserving their appearance at the time so that it might be compared to photos of years later when they're all grown up.

I then showed Kevin how to properly hold the camera while taking a picture of yourself and others. I've had a lot of practice doing this over the years, and I've nailed it.

Jenny gives me a thumbs up, which basically sums up the entire week. Actually, it sums up every week that we've been coming up here since I was a little boy.

With our family picture out of the way (see day 7) we didn't have to worry about looking our best for the cameras. Everyone else still had to endure the excruciating harshness of smiling and pretending that they still love each other after spending the entire week together. Of course I kid, the Greg Kurutz family (left) and the Rick Kurutz family (right) all love each other very much and are quite thankful for the time that they got to spend together here at Afterglow Lake Resort.

I lied about us being done with family pictures. We all assembled on or near the dock (taking great care to not break it) for one final group picture. I think Kevin took this picture, for he's the only member not of our family who was present at the time. Let it be noted that he is an honorary member of our family.

Cabin #2 now stands empty and alone, at least until the next group checks in later this afternoon. I'm going to go on the record as saying that there couldn't possibly be any group as rambunctious as us that occupy this cabin at Afterglow Lake. I'll even put money on that fact.
