James raises his arms in triumph for finally achieving his week long goal - to make it out to the raft. I wish that I would've been out there to remind him that that wasn't a monumental achievement. I was counting on Matt and Gary to give him a hard time, but neither of them realized how important this matter really was. I really should've been out there to right the wrongs, but then I wouldn't have been able to take this picture. You win some, you loose some I guess.

Tim is a unique individual. There's not many people that I know who would stand around topless drinking Gatorade and eating Quaker Oats breakfast bites. All while standing in the water no less, which makes Tim our oddball of the day.

Some people Surf the Intensity, some go on a Surfin' Safari, while some may choose to reside in Surf City. James likes to surf the dock, but Tim and I like to Rock the Dock. That's the difference between athletes and musicians.

The last day at Afterglow always means one dreaded thing - the inevitable family picture time. With a family like this, why would I dread getting a picture taken? So many people want our portrait that they have to take numbers. People are already lining up for this year's affair, and it's still 2 1/2 months away. It's rough, but it's all I've ever known.

June's Blanket takes a publicity photo so that we can later sign it and sell it through our fan club for a ridiculous price. We have so many June's Blanket schemes to get rich, but we never act upon them, so we remain struggling musicians. At least the Afterglow crowd allows us to play a benefit concert every year at the campfire.

The brothers participate in a very strange and awkward moment. There's little more that I can say about it that the picture does not. I'm just surprised that James went along with it. He's usually not into goofing around like this.

Mom wanted a picture of her kids, so we were forced to remain staring into the sunlight. Doesn't she know that the sun causes blindness, cancer or the emergence of superhuman powers in a Kryptonian?
