Afterglow 2005 - Day 7
Brian, Tim and Kevin (on the left) and Susie and Jenny (on the right) made it into the water before I did, but all of us made it in the water long before James did (more about that on the bottom of the page.) It was ok though, because someone has to stay out of the water to take pictures and be ready to hop into a boat to assist Brody, Quint and Hooper in case they need it.
Some chose the water (those mentioned above) and some chose the land. We're not here to judge anyone based on their personal preference, we're only here to congratulate on their choice to enjoy one of Afterglow's outdoor locations.
I sit on the dock and enjoy a can of La Crosse's finest Lager beer. I thought that you could only purchase it in the Western region of this state, but apparently it is popular in the North as well. These people have taste and class.
This picture represents the first time that James has set foot in the lake this week. Remember that today is Friday, and we've already been here for 7 days. For people like Tim and I who swim every day, that's rather pathetic.
James does a fake dive, hamming it up for the cameras and the amassed crowd on the beach. He certainly knows how to play to his audience, but at this time he didn't give them what they had come here to see. That wish would soon be granted when he ran and dove off of the dock and plunged head-first into the cool water, finally knowing first-hand what we've known all week long. It had taken him the entire week to dive in, so he had a lot of catching up to do.
