Afterglow 2005 - Day 4
Although my Nana and Papa no longer stay in cabin #5, they make it up to Afterglow for a few days every year. They usually come on Tuesday because of the obstacle course to see their grandchildren participate, but we're all too old to run the course, but it's still nice to see them.
It was quite chilly that day, it definitely didn't seem like late July. It was nice because Tim actually had a reason to wear baby blue, although Tim really never needs a reason to wear his favorite piece of headwear.
Kevin is distressed because he forgot to bring his favorite piece of headwear. He allows this emotion to overtake his body and the body basically shuts down. I had to shake him to find out whether or not he was still alive. Thankfully, he was. It's a good thing too, because I don't think that I could handle Carol (his Mom) yelling at me for this one.
For no reason whatsoever, we started an impromptu dance party during the water balloon toss. There may or may not have been music playing, but I'd suggest that there was. From the looks of it, I'd say that some booty shaking music was playing. Regardless of the music selection, all of us (including Phil) started dancing around the fire pit.
The water was surprisingly empty for a Tuesday afternoon in July, but I don't blame anyone there for staying out of it. You see, massive sharks had overtaken Afterglow Lake, and to enter the water meant certain death. These Afterglow people are smart, so no one swam that day. Thankfully, the sharks all went home by Wednesday.
Stacy is the youngest of all of the cousins. That being said, she is the only one left who still participates in things like the obstacle course. It's not that the older kids have something against it, we just choose to not participate because it's a lot of work and it's not as cool as it was when we were kids. We still go to show her support though.
This girl is my sister. Her name is Jenny and she knows that she's in the most magical place in the entire world. She stretches out her hands to showcase the beauty of Lake Afterglow, and I use my fingers to point the viewers' attention towards the person in which it should go.
