World Series of Beer Pong 7 - Day 3

Home

Uncle Gary lives in Palm Springs, California and rode his motorcycle here to Vegas just to watch me play beer pong. Since we didn't make the Day 3 Playoffs he was going to head back home. It's about a 4 1/2 hour ride by car and even longer by motorcycle, so he got an early start. Little did I know at the time that in and hour or so he would call me saying that he would have to stay another night while his motorcycle underwent repairs. Something was wrong with the bike and he had to stay another night in Vegas. Real sad to be stuck in a town like this.

The pool at the Flamingo is awesome. Or at least it looks like it is. I never got a chance to try it out because it isn't open in the Winter. I did get kicked out of the hot tub in Year 5 but I still haven't tried the pool. There is always next year. Or the next time I come out here.

Hummel and I grabbed some Sin City beers and headed outside to record a Day 2/WSoBP VII recap which you can watch here on my Ill Blog. Hummel has been a real great teammate, but it's the little things like agreeing to make this video is what makes him special.

We got woken up at like 5 in the morning by the fire alarm going off. Instead of evacuating like normal people should, Hummel covered up the speaker with a pillow. We were tired/hungover and just wanted to sleep. We didn't care at this hour if we were tragically burned alive.

There are plenty of outdoor spots to get married at The Flamingo (and all of them get my recommendation) but to be fair I also needed to check out the indoor Wedding Chapel. Who knows what kind of romantic bliss awaits inside these doors? I just wish that I had a girl with me to check out these places as a possible location of our upcoming nuptials. Then I wouldn't just be a drunken idiot wandering around taking pictures.

After we recorded the video and Uncle Gary took off, we all kind of went our separate ways. Kevin, Hummel and Sara had some stuff in Vegas that they still wanted to check out and I had promised my friend Jenny that I would scout out the Flamingo grounds. She would be getting married out here in July and I took some pictures to show her. Here is the gazebo, one of many spots to have a sweet outdoor wedding.

They really have done a great job with the outdoor landscaping of The Flamingo. I just wish I could say the same thing about the indoors. But that's a whole different story. For the time being I was enjoying myself in the great outdoors in this lush tropical setting.

Uncle Gary has these paper cutouts of our family members Harvey and Lorraine, and he brings them everywhere and takes pictures with them. Harvey is my Grandpa's cousin and Lorraine is my Grandma's cousin, and they obviously met through my Grandparents. They are really nice people but I still don't understand why Gary has been taking them around the country with him. Oh well. Whatever works for him I guess.
