World Series of Beer Pong 6 - Day 1

We went into Game 3 trying to just enjoy the experience and have some fun. It must have worked, because we ended up beating Two in the Pink, One in Your Drink (clever name right? You get all that and more from the participants of the WSoBP) by 2 cups to claim our first victory. Of course I couldn't be happy because even though 1-3 looks better on paper than 0-4, we still had a lot of work to do if we had any chance of making Day 3. But at this point we had to relish in the win and go all cliché on this bitch - 1 cup at a time, 1 game at a time.

After starting out 0-3 there was nothing better than writing Hummel that Shit! on the line where it says "winning team." I don't come out here expecting to win $50,000 but I also don't come out here expecting to start out 0-3. 1 win down, plenty of wins to go...

Ok so there was something better than writing our name on the winner's line - winning the game with a tablebreaker. I hit the setup shot and Hummel killed that shit. Just like the Godfather taught us. There was only one fitting way to win our first game, and this was it.

I have no idea how Sam and Josh fared on Day 1. I probably could look it up somewhere or ask them, but the WSoBP VI was like 9 months ago and I don't feel like putting forth the extra effort. But if I had to venture a guess I would say they were doing as well as us.

I have met a lot of people because of the Last Cup movie, but most of them have been dudes. Since the Iceman is all about the ladies, I was more than thrilled to meet Jennifer and Nicole. We instantly connected and for the rest of my time out here I would look really cool.

Our 5th game of the day was against some dudes wearing tight basketball jerseys and cut off jean shorts. So basically these guys cared more about fashion than beer pong, so this should have been an easy victory for us. Not so fast say I, as nothing as been easy out here so far this year. Normally we should have been able to trounce goofballs like the guys from Symetricy but we still weren't shooting well and we only won by 1 cup. But a win is a win, and Hummel that Shit! improved to 2-4 and for the first time this year, we were starting to have some fun out here.

It's not gay if you like it. Wait, that is exactly what makes it gay. Luckily for me I didn't like it, despite what the pictures say others. But I was drunk in the pictures so the pictures themselves too are drunk by association. So you can't trust these pictures because it's the booze talking. I never trust booze. I once asked a bottle of Knob Creek how to get to I-43 from Cass street and it sent me to 13th and Clarke. Roll 'em up!

Nick (on the right) won the 1st WSoBP and I couldn't be more jealous of him. And then I found out that Kenny (left - duh) was going to be his partner in year 6 I was chartreuse with envy. These are both highly skilled players who should play well together and advance.

I don't give Sara enough credit for what she does at the WSoBP. Besides keeping Hummel loose she also takes all of the game pictures. I'm pretty awesome, but I can't take pictures of myself while I'm playing. Speaking of playing, they teamed up for a practice game.
