World Series of Beer Pong 4 - Day 3

Brodey and Balkman hit the weeping bottle (usually some kind of whiskey) pretty hard after their loss, but they soon made it back to the ballroom to watch Day 3 continue to unfold. There were some promotional girls handing out After Shot, which is supposed to help cure hangovers. I tried it and almost threw up cause it tasted so bad. If I did it would have helped cause I feel better after I yak.

Balkman and Brodey played in the 1st round of the playoffs this morning, and it was a single elimination game. Since Balkman is standing on the bench sipping whiskey out of a Subway cup, that means that they are out of the tournament, having lost that game. So Milwaukee's only hope was quickly ousted, and we'd have to find other people to cheer for. Thankfully we know a few.

There are so many good teams in beer pong, and eventually if they keep winning they will have to face each other. That very thing happened when Tone and Neil of We Own Your Face had to play Defo and Nick of Slippery France. You know that it will a good entertaining game to watch, but it becomes a problem for people like me who has no loyalty to either team and doesn't know who to cheer for. In this case, if I had to pick 1 it would be Nick and Defo because I hang out with Nick a lot at beer pong tournaments because he lives in Chicago. But Tone and Neil prevailed, forcing overtime with their rebuttle shots if I remember correctly, and moved on to the next round.

West Coast (Eric Welch, left picture) meets East Coast (Austin Lanham, right picture) in a high stakes (like $50 a person! Yikes!) cash game off to the side of the ballroom. This was kind of another conflict of interests, but I will always cheer for my buddy Welch cause he's also become a good friend over the years. Plus he's from Northern California, which is where I would live if this Wisconsin thing doesn't pan out. If I can't cheer for the hometown Midwest to win it, I'll always go for the West Coast over the East Coast.
