World Series of Beer Pong 4 - Day 1

Since my game was over, I was supposed to leave the playing area. Since no one enforced that rule, I stuck around for a little while taking pictures. But then I thought that my presence would be better served standing next to my friends and joining them in distracting the other team. While I did leave my shirt on (I'm siding with Brodey + Casey instead of Balkman, Hummel + Lorge) I still think that I did my part.

Casey and Lorge have been beer pong partners for a long time, and they have been friends even longer. And even though he's probably seen the Lorge Shuffle a million times before, he still couldn't control himself when Lorge put in on display in this World Series competition. In fact, no one on the gathered audience could control themselves. That's how great of a psych-out the Lorge Shuffle truly is.

If memory serves me correctly (but it rarely does) the game went into overtime. If I am wrong, I do know that the game was very close, and Casey + Lorge ended up winning. Some people will credit skill with the victory, but for this game I credit the Lorge Shuffle. That move alone was the MVP of this particular match.

Kanz soon joined me, and the shirts (Casey, Brodey, Kanz + myself) outnumbered the skins (Lorge, Hummel + Balkman) but I think that it made the skins that much more effective. Sometimes less is more. I certainly know that the less bare skin you see on a big dude like me is always much more appreciated by the crowd.
