The poster for the 3rd World Series of Beer Pong was up all over the South Point hotel + casino. The only thing that stopped me from stealing it was the fact that it was locked up in a poster case. I had to settle on the next best thing then - taking a picture of it. It turned out pretty well, and I commend the person who put the poster together. It sure is swell.

After registering for the tournament and saying hello again to old friends/staff members, we went back upstairs to get in some warm up practice games. Hummel, Balkman, Sara and Katie J drove out from Milwaukee, and brought two tables with them. We set them up in Christian's room because they had registered late and got a room with only 1 king bed, so we had enough space to set up both tables. If I remember correctly, so one was shooting lights out, but it was still early and there was no cause for concern. Tomorrow it would count, but for tonight we could all just hang loose and have fun in the company of good friends. Different place, different time, but the same results.

I had the pleasure of once again playing across from Brodey "The Godfather" and Denise. Both are experienced pongers, and present the kind of opposition that I knew I would be facing over the next few days. Both of these two have the ability to get hot and carry the team, and if they both get hot - make sure your name is on the sign up sheet because you are not winning the game you are currently playing. Although my memory isn't what it used to be (thanks to alcohol killing my brain cells) but I'm pretty sure that Brodey and Denise won this game.

I was playing with Christian, who is without a doubt one of the best clutch shooters in league history, But in those rare occasions when he is off of his game, he can't buy a shot. I no longer have the skill or ability to carry a team, I have receded back into a supporting member of a team. I can promise to hit 50% of my shots, but rarely go above and beyond that. Since Christian was off during these practice games, we weren't able to win and stay on the table. Things weren't looking good, but I'd know tomorrow how I stacked up against this year's competition.

After playing some beer pong, I decided that putting my money into the slot machines and waving good bye to it would be a good idea. I lose every time I play the slots, and I have no idea why I still play. I did however, win $24.38 (put in $20) on a King Kong slot on the bonus game.
