World Series of Beer Pong 3 - Beer Pong Day 3 |
It's been a rough couple of days out here, and you can totally tell that I'm all partied out. This is my 3rd year out here, so you would think that by now I'd be able to handle this Vegas craziness, but it turns out that you can't teach an old dog new tricks. Since we didn't make the playoffs, Kanz stayed up all night drinking and playing blackjack. I decided to get a little rest so that be up and about all day to check out the beer pong action that was going on. I met up with my friend Welch from team Shred the Gnar, and we checked in with each other. I had to inform him that we didn't make the playoffs, and he told me to keep my head up, practice hard, and come back next year. |
Christian and Jeff were the only team of the Milwaukee contingent to make the playoffs. It kind of sucked, because over the past few years we as a city have done so well that we felt like we let everybody down by not making the playoffs. Brodey took it especially hard, because he of all people has been campaigning over the years for the beer pong community to take us seriously. When we fall to make a good impression and perform well at these nationwide competitions, it doesn't help his cause at all. Day 3 was really hard for me. |
Christian was trying really hard to win all of his games because he is ultra competitive and he has more drive and determination than any other beer pong player I've ever known. Sometimes his dedication to the game takes him over the edge and pisses some people off because he takes every single game seriously. It's almost like he doesn't know how to have fun playing beer pong. Jeff, on the other hand, was chatting on his cell phone instead of paying attention to the game. He looked like he couldn't have care any less while playing this game. |
