We tried looking for  a place inside to eat, but as soon as people finished, someone else swooped in to grab their seats. Some were saving seats for others that were standing in line. We noticed these trends forming around us, and realized that there was no way to get a seat while our food was still warm, so we went outside. It was fairly nice out, but since all of the tables inside were taken, people had secured the outdoor ones as well. I was so excited to eat my delicious burger that I made the call to eat on the hood of the car, but warned Joe (although he didn't listen) about dripping special sauce on the rental car. I tried to care, but my burger was just too damn good to pay attention to anything else.

As soon as we got into Las Vegas, we went to pick up my rental car. It just happened to be a red Subaru, which led to some rather funny moments later on. The next thing that we did was go to In-N-Out Burger, which is only available on the West Coast. I've been here several times throughout my travels out West, and count it among my favorite eateries. Their menu is very simple - burgers, fries, and drinks. That's it. You go in, eat your food, and get out. This place was packed, and the line wrapped all around the restaurant. It moved pretty fast though, because most people know what they want to order. If they don't, it's not like they have a lot of choices anyway. We chatted with some of the people in line, and this guy from New England told us about the 4 x 4 burger, or as he called it, a haat-stoppa (heart stopper). It's not on the menu, so you have to special order it. We weren't that hungry, so a double burger would be just enough to get us going for the rest of the day.
