Rage for Timmy III - The Bee's Knees - Day 3 |
Since there was no one else itching to get into the cabin for the next week Pete and Gail said we could stay as long as we wanted today. In July we have to be out by like 9:30am so it always feels really rushed. But not today. After a delicious breakfast we went back out to Memory Point to say goodbye to Timmy. Mom and Eddie went first and Mom was able to snap a couple of pictures of us walking. It's like she was spying on us or something. Moms always do that kind of thing because they know their kids are always screwing around. |
Timmy was hanging out same as always when we went to go see him. Not much had changed. But even though I have been here so many times and it's always the same, I'm going to keep on coming back as often as I can until I join him out here permanently. This place is so special to me. I only wish that I could come here at least once a month. That would be wonderful, Guy Patterson style. |
Dogs operate on their own schedules and agendas. I was surprised to see Alpine up and about this morning so I wanted to say hello. But since she does things her way this is as close as she would let me get. But it's all good because it makes for one silly picture. |
I woke up early again because the morning light enters the cubby room first. Everyone else in the real bedrooms were still sleeping so I decided to get my swimming out of the way. Even though we were going home today, it still counted a day at Afterglow. |
The water was no better today than it was the past two days but I would never let that stop me. Part of Raging for Timmy is doing things that he used to love that he is no longer able to do. I could always count on Timmy to go swimming with me so without him I have to swim alone. That's what makes this so hard every single day even though it's been a year and a half since he's been gone. Timmy and I did everything together. I never had to be alone. And I don't think that I will ever adjust to life without him. |
After my morning swim I went back to the cabin to check on the family and I found them all awake and ready to start the day. After watching Jenny rock this giraffe all weekend I decided that I needed to try it out. And I made one really scary giraffe. |
Eddie made us breakfast featuring an assortment of french toast, american toast, eggs, bacon and sausage. I eat breakfast but I never go all out for it. It was really good to have it without having to make it. So thanks Eddie. That really hit the spot. |
For the most part we had some pretty good weather this weekend but today it was raining. It was a very light rain but it prevented us from standing out in the open. Jenny and I stood under one group of trees and Mom and Eddie stood across the way under another. Then Mom came over and joined us. We waited for the rain to go away and fortunately we didn't have to wait that long. Even though I didn't want to go home we still had a 5 hour drive to consider. We couldn't stay up here forever even though I wanted nothing more. |
