Rage for Timmy III - The Bee's Knees

To say that Afterglow is beautiful this time of year is an understatement. You'll notice that over the course of the next few pages that I took a lot of pictures. And these are the ones that I decided to share with you and only represent a fraction of the total amount. I had to pick and choose the best ones to display here. And although it was tough, you're getting the best of the best. I know you'll love it.

One of the things that I must do every time that I'm at Afterglow is go swimming. There's a pretty good reason I don't come up here in the Winter because I would find it difficult to maintain that tradition. I go swimming every Summer, I added Spring in April during RFT II and now I was about to add a second dose of Fall swimming. Last Fall during RFT I we encountered a type of cold that I don't ever want to feel again. But here September is so much different than October and this weekend the water was actually rather pleasant. I decided to rage hardcore by going out to the HD and jumping off. As you just saw in the video, it was very shocking experience.

Jenny didn't come swimming with me. It's hard enough to convince her to go in summer and she doesn't sign the pact. Oh well. Someone has to stay on the shore to take pictures + videos so that I have proof that I actually went out there.

There's nothing like swimming in Summer but I got to be honest with you - Fall ain't too bad either. It wasn't nice enough to hang out there for long periods of time but it was better than April or October. I wouldn't mind coming up here again in September.

Pete was around and he came out to say hi and snap some pictures of his own. After chatting for a bit I found out that I would not be the last person to jump off the HD this year. Last Fall when we came here the raft was on the beach where it is stored for the Winter. Pete leaves it out in the water until after the first weekend of October. Eagle River has a Cranberry Fest and a man who stays at Afterglow jumps off the HD and becomes the last person of the year to do it. I guess I'm alright hopefully being the 2nd last person. But even though I don't get to cement my place in Afterglow History I was still here to rage with Jenny and for Timmy. That's all I need.
