World Series of Beer Pong 2 - Day 1

Brodey has been and will always be my inspiration for all things beer pong. I call him the Godfather, and I look to him for inspiration prior to my matches and feedback following my matches. Brodey's always been there for me, so I thank him.

Brodey and Balkman will be partner's for life - beer pong partners that is. They have played together for so long that they know what to expect from each other. Their chemistry is their strong point, but it can also be their undoing. I've seen them fall apart countless times because they got anger with each other and started fighting.

The 2nd World Series of Beer Pong had what the previous installment desperately needed - more girls. These girls were recruited by one of the sponsors (vixensversus.com) to give the boys something to look at. They were sub par at beer pong, and I think they actually won a few games. I feel bad for the teams that lost to them.

Someone in the nearby area questioned my sexuality, so I had to prove to them that I was not gay. It just so happened that there were some girls in the background wearing sexy booty shorts, so I gave it thumbs up. I hate to be involved in this situation, but when people question the Iceman, the Iceman has to deliver.

These two individuals stood out, mostly because of their flight suits and team name - Mav and Goose. I found out that Al and Brandon were actual Air Force pilots, and that they adopted the team name and personas because of their love for the movie Top Gun. Although my name is not a Top Gun reference, I still felt it necessary for Iceman, Maverick and Goose to reconcile their differences.

Maverick and Goose went 3 + 3 on Day 1, which was nice, but unfortunately left them smack dab right in the middle of the pack. They would really need to step it up on Day 2 if they planned to make the playoffs. I thought they could do it; they've trained hard for this.

I handed my camera off to Sara every time that I was playing, so I have her to thank for taking these pictures. Hummel and I were pretty confident after our first few games, and at this point we had won 3 games by a very comfortable margin each game.

There were bingbong tables set up for people who needed to practice playing by the tournament rules. Although there was no beer provided for these practice games, people still had fun in the mock-up competition. For people like Sara (left picture) who were not entered in the tournament, it was a chance to compete against some of the best beer pongers in the world. Players that were entered in the tournament (like Denise and Katee, right picture) used these tables as a chance to warm up before their next  beer pong match.

It was a true delight to have these girls along for the ride this year. When I told people that I was affiliated with these hotties, my street cred instantly rose. People had already wanted to be me for my beer pong skills, but now they want to be for for my awesome friends.
