World Series of Beer Pong 2 - The Drive Home |
I first visited Las Vegas in August of 2001 when I was 20 years old. My Mom, brother and sister were moving out to Los Angeles to stay with our dad. We drove out there so that they would have a car to get around, and it ended up being one of the sweetest road trips in my life. Along the way, we stopped at Mount Rushmore, the Badlands of South Dakota, drove through the Rocky Mountains, saw the Grand Canyon, went through Las Vegas, then finally came to our destination. While in Vegas, we visited a couple of casinos, including the New York New York. Even though I was only 20, I sat down and gambled with my Dad, and it was one of the highlights of my trip. From that moment on, I was smitten with Las Vegas and couldn't wait to come back. I've been to Vegas 4 times in my life now, and I'm still itching to go back. |
This is one of those countless pictures I took whose destiny was bigger and better things. I purposefully wore my Brewers gear so that I could send this picture to the Brewers for their "Your Brewers Are Here" campaign that they have seemed to abandon. They promised to display fan photos on Brewers.com, on the sign off of I-94, and at Brewers home games. Since they don't do it anymore, I don't regret never sending my pictures into Brewers.com. Even though I won't get featured on the video board, I'll still continue to wear my Brewers gear when I travel around the country. |
We passed by the Las Vegas sign on the way out of town and we took their advice. Well...not really. We definitely would be coming back soon. After all, we have to attend the 2008 WSoBP, but is a year soon? If so, then we'll be back soon. As for driving carefully, now that's a whole 'nother story. I hate giving away too much information away, but you'll be surprised when you click next. |
Balkman knows about my affinity for 80's/90's TV shows and actors, which is why he turned my attention to this billboard of Alan Thicke hawking Tahiti Village residences. You probably remember Thicke when he played Dr. Jason Seaver on the popular sitcom Growing Pains. I recently saw a commercial for the Tahiti Village Resort featuring Alan Thicke, and for 30 seconds, I couldn't stop laughing. |
