World Series of Beer Pong 2 - The Drive There

If you had to judge our 36-hour car ride from this picture alone, you would probably say that we were a pretty rowdy and randy gang. We were actually the complete opposite. Aside from a few "we're overly tired and crabby" moments, we were very well behaved.

My Dad's route took us through Roswell, New Mexico, famous for...being the Dairy Capitol of the Southwest?!? What happened to the alien crash landing of 1947? Isn't that what everyone coming here expects to see? Where are all the aliens and flying saucers?

Balkman and I had done the uh, balk of the driving so far on this trip and we both were in need of a little rest. We handed the keys over to Hummel and I still feel sorry about doing it. He had to drive through the mountains in the snow with little to no visibility. I tried very hard to sleep while he was driving, but I couldn't because I was terrified. No offense to Hummel's driving, but I'm scared when I'm not driving.

I climbed atop the Roswell sign to do a sexy pose, which is very reminiscent of the one I did in on the city of San Dimas sign. 10 more and I can put out a "Scott does a sexy pose on city signs" calendar. I hope no one buys that one, even if I do make dollar$ off of it. We drove through Roswell, and I didn't see any sign of alien paraphernalia or touristy stores selling alien themed crap.

We made it back to I-40 in Albuquerque and continued on it through the entire state of Arizona. Night soon became day and we were finished with the toughest stretch of our trip. The sun was rising and it would only be about 5 hours until we got to Mesquite.

This was a site that I was hoping to leave behind and the people of Albuquerque, New Mexico probably don't see too often - snow covered trees. It was cold as balls outside and I couldn't wait to get back inside the cramped and cozy confines of the automobile. Unfortunately, my fellow riders needed a cigarette, stretch out your legs, and buy more junk food for the next few hours break. So I waited for them.

We were ready to continue our journey out West, but I needed one last picture of myself and these snow-covered trees. I would've asked someone in the vicinity to take this picture for me, but doing something like that really cramps my style and just isn't my thing.
