World Series of Beer Pong 2 - Day 2

I brought an impressive array of clothing out to Mesquite that showed people who I was and where I came from. I only ended up wearing one outfit because on the day when I wore this shit, I played arguably the worst beer pong of my career. I decided to switch back to the retro Brewers shirt and all was well again.

No one passed on the memo to me that stated that it was Brodey's Brewer Fun Day Extravaganza (BBFE) t-shirt day on Day 2 of the WSoBP. I doubt that I would have worn the t-shirt if I had known and packed it with me, but I still would have appreciated being let in on the event. Brodey claims no responsibility, so I still love him.

Denise and Katie snuck past the white picket fence and got in a little pre-game practice. We weren't supposed to cross the line until they called our games, but they must not have listened to the rules. It's either that or they are a couple of badasses who don't follow rules. Speaking of badass - check out the reflection of the ball.

It was getting later in the morning and I was already starting to show some of the side effects of all day drinking and partying. One thing that I will point out is that my eyes (particularly my left one) were starting to fail me. My contacts were getting old and messing with my game. I hate to blame my performance on any one thing, but how can you hit the cups if you can't really even see them?

Being drunk and meeting people has a lot of negative repercussions. For starters you often have no recollection of of meeting them, and you often forget their names and where they are from. I met these 2 gentlemen at last year's event, but I have since forgotten anything else about them. It's a shame that I have such a poor memory, because they are really nice people and we had a good time.

One superstition that I have started in my later years as a ponger was to drink a little Sailor Jerry before my matches to calm myself down. You'd think that as a veteran player I'd have enough self control and not allow myself to succumb to pre-game jitters, but I still do. I guess after all these years, I'm still that excited to play beer pong.

Hummel and Sara were sitting patiently on the bleachers when I sat down next to them and snapped this picture. They didn't know that I was making this silly face at the time, which isn't hard to believe because I doubt that I even knew that I was making this face.

We had yet to win a game today, but I still was feeling excited and positive. How could I not? I was at the greatest event in the world, it was mid morning, and I was already drunk. Sure, I would like to win a few games and make Day 3, but I will take the aforementioned items as a consolation prize 9 times out of 10.
