Brewers vs. Twins in Minnesota 2009 |
Being a super sweet and amazing Dad must be a tiring process, cause Mike grabbed a couple of cushions, spooned with a plush monkey and took a nap. I guess I don't blame him. I could've gone for a nap, and all I was doing was sitting and watching the parenting process in action. Once again, maybe someday I'll understand. |
Wilson is a beast. I don't know how many times I have to say that before you start to realize it. I decided to hold Wilson to see if I was the one to blame for Reese's crying. And no sooner than the flash bulb went off, Wilson started crying, so I put him down. Then I guess it really is my fault that people/animals cry when they come in contact with me. But to be quite fair Reese could have just been crying because she is a baby and she missed her parents, and Wilson could have just been crying because he is a beast of a cat and missed his food dish. |
It was time to head off to the game and time to stop sitting around the house. We didn't do too much of anything today, and to be quite honest with you, I wouldn't have had it any other way. When I'm with Mike and Katie we don't have to be doing anything cause I just enjoy their company. Now that they live so far away, I only get to see them like twice a year, so we could be doing nothing at all or way too much and it would still be awesome. Even though we met in Minneapolis to see each other, we also had a common interest - to see the Brewers. I see tons of games (almost every single one) but when the Brewers come to Minneapolis that is one of the few games they can see, so it was time to head over to the Metrodome for the game. |
Reese didn't seem to mind having pants on her head, which made the obligatory picture taking very painless. I really shouldn't criticize, because I'm taking a picture of people taking pictures, but why do parents have to take a picture of every little thing their kids do? Maybe I'll understand if someone ever lets me have kids. |
Besides Game 3 in the Brewer/Twins series, which was being played at 7pm tonight because of it being telecast for ESPN's Sunday Night Baseball, we really didn't have any other plans. So we ended up passing the Gameboy around and trying to beat each other's high scores on Tetris. I think we did type A Tetris and determined the winner by the amount of lines cleared. It was a great time waster, as no one really had any other bright ideas to occupy the time. We must have sat around and played for at least 2 hours, and thankfully turned down the volume or else Reese wouldn't have been the only one crying in that apartment. I think that's how they torture suspected terrorist or secret agents. |
Reese is really attached to her parents, which is to be expected for someone who is 8 months old and doesn't really know anyone else. So as soon as she sat on my goofy lap, she had this look of fear in her eyes. She had this look on her face like she saw something she had never seen before, and it was puzzling to say the least. I can't say that I blame her, cause I'm really not that easy on the eyes. To be polite, I have a face made for radio, which is why God has blessed me with a dynamite sense of humor and a knockout personality. But she took it like a champ, and stayed quiet long enough for the picture, and then the tears started flowing, so I gave her back to her parents. |
