Afterglow 2009 - Day 2 Sunday

Apparently that pizza was pretty good and Tim ate it all up cause he has a full belly. I don't remember having any desert, so where did all that brown sugar on his stomach come from?

After dinner there is always a lot of cleaning up to do. With 6 people living in the cabin (not to mention all the stragglers who end up eating here) the dishes pile up high and fast. Jenny did half the dishes and I did the other. We make a pretty good team.

The chef/host always has to eat last, and that's the way that it should be. I made sure to take care of my guests first, then took some extra time preparing the bomb pizza for myself. I used the last of the dough, which resulted in a thicker crust, then loaded it up with all sorts of goodies like Canadian bacon, pepperoni and pineapples. It took forever to bake, but it was well worth it. One of my finest creations.

Although not as themed as Fajita Night was, I'd say that Build Your Own Pizza Night was a resounding success, and all in attendance had a wonderful time. Big thanks go out to Scott and Jenny for putting on this event. Now the question is, what will they do next year?

There was some leftover pizza, so I invited Brian and Kevin to help themselves. Both of them are strapping young men who are still growing, so they are not known to turn down free eats. Maybe that's why they're always over here - plenty of leftovers.

Kris wine is a real product; we didn't just slap a homemade sticker on a bottle because it has the same name as our Mother. It's made by the Franz Hass Winery in Northeast Italy, and it is darn good. But would expect anything else out of something named Kris?

Kevin munched that pizza like PacMan chomping on blue ghosts. And he enjoyed it ten times as much as that punk ass yellow circle. He'd probably even eat a giant bouncing strawberry. Silly kid.
