We used to rage it real hard the last night and get ridiculously partied out. And then something happened. We either got old, tired or realized that we needed to be awake in the morning to drive home. So people stopped raging it. It didn't help that it was crazy cold out, but that's no excuse. You just have to rage it, unless of course you've lost that raging feeling. O-oh that raging feeling. Jenny and Timmy might have come up here for a little bit, but in the end it was just me, Brian, Kevin and Stacy to close out Afterglow 2009. We didn't do much besides sit at the table and burn that last few sparklers, but I would have to say it was a success. Even though raging it on the KK ain't what it used to be.

By using my brain for remembering things (and using clever deduction skills that I learned from Watson) I'll say that Brian and Kevin are following along with the score of the Brewers game. It was a rough week for our Brewers, which is usually the case while we are up here. Thankfully we busy ourselves by distractions such as fire, swimming and alcohol. And every now and then we subtly drop movie quotes. We rarely "borrow" lines from movies, because we don't want people to think that it is all we do. Lest we get pigeonholed as unoriginal.

There was a smaller crowd at the fire tonight, but all of the important people were there. And by important, I mean my family members. Sorry if I offended anyone out there, but that's just the way that it us. Anyone else who comes to hang out at the fire is definitely welcome and is a bonus, but unless the core members of the Uncle Greg band are there, it's just not the same. So we shared some stories, told some jokes and had a few laughs. It was a great way to end Afterglow 2009. But wait! There's more! We still could rage it on the KK one last night!

Tom commemorate our last night here until July 2010, I lit all of the remaining snakes all at once. And I did them on top of the BW box. I used to think that snakes were harmless, but as you can see, they did quite a number on the box. Now I understand why Samuel L. Jackson was so sick and tired of all those MF-ing snakes on that MF-ing plane. Slowly rising out of the ground, billowing black smoke and leaving charcoaled ash remains behind. It's easy to see how anyone cause loose their mind and shout all the time instead of talking in that situation.

In an attempt to bring back less then what we came here with, the Moms busted out the Smore building materials, and we had a smoresgesboard of gooey goodness for the kids to munch on. I don't think I've ever seen Timmy maw down on a Smore before, but it looks like it was pretty G D delicious. I want one!!

I'd like to say that we pull out all the stops on the last night and give the Afterglow faithful a concert that they will never forget, but sadly it's a little subdued. We usually do the mega-shows on Monday and Thursday, so Friday night is a more somber "goodbye everybody, see you next year" kind of show.
