The best thing about Afterglow Softball is that everyone can play. It doesn't matter if you are young or old, athletic or not and part of the Revolution or not part of the Revolution. Everyone is welcome. In fact, that is the overall spirit of Afterglow - everyone is welcome.

It was nice to not have to use our legs for a little bit. I bet that's how Anne Frank felt like before the Miracle Worker showed up and knocked some smarts into her. Although riding on the golf cart was fun, I'm thankful to have the use of my legs. Now I just need the good Lord to make sure that I always be swift on my feet and use them for good. The ride was brief but enjoyable, and everyone aboard this electric-powered device enjoyed their time spent aboard. But now it was time to jump ship, for more crazy adventures lie ahead of us.

Uncle Greg is the leader of the Revolution. He is the one who came up with the idea, laid down the ground rules and instructed the cousins to follow in Starting the Revolution every time that he raises his fist in the air. When he does it, you must also do it.

Pete often asks people to do things that sound a little weird at the time. But since Pete is the boss and has the right to deny our application for our cabins during this week, when he says "jump!" Kevin says, "How high?" Then he does it. Can't argue with the man.

They say that there is no such thing as a free meal, but I'm going to take it one step further and say that there is no such thing as a free ride. Brian loved the free ride, but it unfortunately took him in the wrong direction, and he had to take the walk back to his cabin.

It was no surprise to anyone that Kevin and I were still wearing our sombreros. Heck, it was only Monday. There was no way that we were even close to be getting sick of wearing them. In fact, they were starting to become a part of us.

I usually participate in Afterglow softball (and Afterglow sports in general) because it is the one time of year when someone of my athletic caliber is allowed on the team, but today I watched from the sidelines. I wanted to play, but Kevin and I were too busy swimming to make it up here in time for first pitch. Oh well.

I think that I've made it abundantly clear that we love the hot tub. I really shouldn't have to comment on it anymore, but these little kids are always in that damn thing! It's cause they don't have any meat on their bones. Kids these days. When I was their age...

But that didn't stop me from getting in the picture and pretending like I was there the whole time. If I wouldn't have told you, you never would have known. What? You did know? There goes my plan. With my sombrero I brought style and grace to this sporty bunch, and although they might not thank me, they wanted to.

Jenny was having a sun party on the beach, and I felt the need to crash that party. Why? Do people really need reasons to do anything? I certainly do not. When I see someone resting comfortably in the sun, I must interrupt it. It's what I do.

The Molines have a golf cart on the premises, but it's not used for golf. Most often Scott and Mitchell joyride in it with their friends. But this time the cart was used for good, and Brian and I got a free ride down to cabin # 2 courtesy of Pete and his good intentions.
